Laurent and Christophe Pinson, worthy successors of their grandfather Louis, endeavour to continue the family tradition, which began in 1640, date of the first official documents preserved by the family. In 1940, Louis Pinson and his wife France were one of the first wine growers in Chablis to bottle and sell their wines direct to the public. At that time, the Domaine had a surface of approximately 3 hectares, to reach 5 hectares in 1982.
Following Viticulture-Oenology studies in the renowned wine college of Beaune, the two grandsons arrived, in 1983 for Laurent and 1987 for Christophe. The objective: to occupy and develop the family property in order to carry on the family tradition. Today the vineyard area has grown to 11 hectares 50 ares, in various appellations such as world renowned Chablis Grand Cru Les Clos, Chablis 1er Crus Montmain, the Forest, Vaillons, Vaugiraut, and finally Chablis village. Today, the Domaine Pinson satisfies and enlightens French, international customers, amateurs and professionals alike with their award winning, unique Chablis wines |
